How to prepare Brahmins Rava Upma?
Brahmins Rava Upma Ingredients:
- Brahmins roasted rava 1 cup,
- Mustard 1 teaspoon,
- Onion 1 big,
- Green chilly 2,
- Dry red chilly 2,
- Ginger 1 inch in size(approx),
- Oil 2 tablespoon,salt&curry leaves.
Brahmins Rava Upma Cooking method:
Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a heavy bottomed pan/ on medium flame. Add mustard seed. When they began to sputter, add chilly, curry leaves, chopped onion, ginger and green chillies and saute for 1-2 minutes. Pour 2 cups of water, add adequate salt to this mix & stir well. When water starts boiling (for 1 minute), add brahmins roasted Rava gradually & keep stirring to avoid lumps. Add grated coconut if needed. Once rava absorbs all water, cover & cook on low flame for 3-4 minutes. Stir in between regular intervals. Turn off the flame & allow to settle for another 5 minutes. Delicious Rava upma is ready to be served.
