Sun dried spinach vattal is made from good quality spinach and rice flour. Crispy fried vattal is easy to make and this recipe goes well with rice. This product can also be served as a snack variety. The use of rice flour gives the crispy nature. It also contains small amount of red chilli powder and asafoetida (kayam, hing) which gives away a light spicy flavour. It attains a dark brown texture on frying.
